It is now possible to study in Canada without having to take the IELTS exam. IELTS is an international language test that assesses your ability to communicate in English in order to study abroad.
Many Fully Funded Scholarships are available in Canada, but many students do not apply owing to the cost of IELTS. IELTS is a requirement for admission to universities in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, and the Netherlands, among others.
But we’re talking about Canadian higher education institutions here.
Because of Justin Trudeau’s new education strategy for overseas students, Canada has the highest educational quality in the world. More than 97 universities in Canada offer over 5000 courses. Citizens of any country are eligible to apply.
Students who have earned degrees in the English language from a recognized educational institution frequently demonstrate strong communication abilities in reading and writing, according to Canadian institutions.
They simply need to submit a few documents to be admitted to a Canadian institution.
IELTS scores are not required, however students must be natural English speakers or have a degree in the English language if they are from a non-English speaking country. Furthermore, students who have completed an O-level or A-level examination are not required to take IELTS.
Individual universities in Canada have developed their own English Language Tests to demonstrate students’ proficiency. The following is a list of Canadian universities that provide this exemption:
University of Saskatchewan
University of Winnipeg
University of Regina
Some Universities will permit conditional admission e.g., you might have to do extra language courses while studying.
Countries like Canada, UK, the USA & Australia have IELTS Compulsory requirements but recently due to COVID & Lockdown situation IELTS Center are closed that is why many universities are accepting the Alternative to IELTS Duolingo Language Test.
